Painting allows me optimum time and space to navigate creative ideas - to make and work. They most often evolve as colour and shape compositions that reflect cycles and processes, ultimately seeking the balance between freedom and structure.

Low environmental impact is an important consideration in my practice. Recycled and repurposed materials - textiles, collage, coffee filters and natural paints are incorporated. These aspects play an integral role, acting as a departure point that come around full circle to resolve and inform the final painting.

It is these same things in my art making that permeate the bigger picture of my lived life. The constant quest to develop and sustain an ideal environment to flourish.
